Tuesday September 15th

Crayon Melted on Canvas

Students will layout their crayons however they would like on their canvas, initial, a line, a shape, etc. With teacher support they will hot glue the crayons on to the canvas. Then they will use the hair dryer to melt the crayon. Afterwards they will have a beautiful waxy creation.

Materials Provided

• Canvas
• Crayons
• Hot Glue
• * if able bring your own hair dryer

Thursday September 17th

Funky Names

Students will draw squiggly lines across the page. They will then write their name connecting the various lines. Afterwards they will have a fun abstract of their name. You will want to display this one on the fridge.

• Paper
• Colored pencils
• Markers

Tuesday September 22nd

Pasta Fish

Students will get to color the fish with chalk. To create geometric shapes they will spray the fish with a spray bottle. After words they will glue colorful pasta on to the fish to make scales. Lastly, they will add a googly eye to bring the fish to life.

• Painted cardboard Fish
• Chalk
• Colorful Pasta
• Glue
• Spray Bottle
• Googly Eye

School Journal

Students will get to personalize a journal for the school year. They will be able to choose from a verity of paper and embellishments. I will also provide 15 journal prompts for students to use throughout the school year.

Materials Provided

• Journal *if your student a has school notebook or journal they want to decorate they are welcome to bring
• Decorative paper
• Embellishments
• Glue

Thursday September 24th

Tissue Paper Painting

Students will get a large heavy piece of paper. Students will place tissue paper in a design of their choice. Flower, Rainbow, Football, etc. Then they will spray the tissue paper. The tissue paper bleeds onto the paper creating a masterpiece.
